Why have I created this blog?

 

While in professional practice, I saw good and bad things that displayed human nature at its best and worst.  For thousands of years we have also seen many efforts to change the world for the better. These have been no more effective than a band aid or elastoplast on a bleeding artery.  Among the band aids are military forces, police and laws.  These are required for protection but do not change hearts or minds.

 

Human efforts on their own do nothing.

 

If they have had little effect over thousands of years they are not going to work now.  What we need is a way to change hearts and minds, change them from hate to love and create the desire to do good things, not bad.  There is only one person who can do that: Jesus Christ who assures us that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

 

How do we put that into practice?

 

We do it by first of all living our lives as Jesus lived his and being in a loving relationship with Him.  Secondly, by showing others that they should do the same.  Our lives are journeys of discovery as to how we can do that.  I do not claim to have all the answers but I hope that in this blog we can each journey along that road as Jesus would wish us to do.
